Certificate Safety Training
Typically conducted by a Qualified Person meeting legislated and/or industry standards. Targeted for workers performing work with a legislated or recommended 3 year expiry.
Examples:
First Aid, Lift Truck, Aerial Lift, Confined Space, Working at Heights, WHMIS/GHS, Construction Heat, etc.
Re-Certification
Examples:
First Aid, Lift Truck, Aerial Lift, Confined Space, Working at Heights, WHMIS/GHS, Construction Heat, etc.
Recommend repeating certification training conducted by a Qualified Person. Due to logistics this may not be logistically feasible and/or reasonable value for the expenditure. Re-certification, in some circumstances, may be conducted by a Competent Person.
Annual Review
Since there is typically a 3 year expiry for certificate safety courses, an annual review conducted and/or verified by a Competent Person is recommended. Certificate courses that are considered “Information Type” (e.g. accident investigation, hazard recognition etc.) typically are not included.
Post-Training Supplemental Application Instruction
To supplement Certificate safety training, and to verify application at the site level for workers who perform work. Conducted and/or verified by a Competent Person.
Information Awareness Instruction
Workers or Persons, that may be exposed to the hazard and/or potential danger, but who do not perform work tasks associated with the subject topic. Conducted and/or verified by a Competent Person.
