SafetyABC instructors are trained and certified by Fall Protection Group Inc. to deliver, on Fall Protection Group’s behalf, this safety training program. Certified SafetyABC instructors are Craig Doran and Ken Blyth.

MOL Approved Working at Heights:

Workers that require to use fall protection, and are working under O. Reg. 213/91 Construction Projects regulation prescribed under the OHSA, require a MOL approved course. This includes workers that are required to use any of the following methods of fall protection: a travel restraint system, a fall restricting system, a fall arrest system, a safety net, a work belt, or a safety belt.

The MOL issues to the successful participant a Record of Training (ROT) card. This card is mailed directly to the participant’s address which was provided during the training course. Should a card need to be replaced, the MOL would have to be contacted. Please contact En-Safe for additional information.

There is a 3 year legislative expiry.

Refresher training is also available.

For workers on construction projects, that are not required to use fall protection, however require heights hazard information awareness, ETS offers facilitated, blended, and sole E-Learning Heights Information Awareness.

Fall Protection Post-Training  Supplemental Instruction:

Section 26.2 of O.Reg. 213/91 states, “An Employer shall ensure that  worker who may use a fall protection system is adequately trained in its use and given adequate oral and written instructions by a Competent Person”. The person who provides the instruction prepares a written record for each worker. The written record shall include the worker’s name and dates the instruction took place, and made available to an inspector on request. A “competent person” who is:

  • qualified through knowledge, training and experience to organize the work and its performance
  • familiar with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and the regulations that apply to the work being performed
  • aware of any actual or potential danger to health and safety in the workplace

The MOL approved WAH course is designed and delivered as a general awareness course, that is transferable from employer to employer, and may not meet the legislative requirements of Section 26.2.

ETS offers a tailored facilitated instruction E-Learning tool, designed to supplement the required MOL course, delivered internally on-site by a competent person. The tailored course can also be customized.

Height Hazards, Slips, Trips, and Falls  Awareness:

Workers that are not required to use fall protection, ETS offers a Heights Information Awareness training. Targeted for persons that may be exposed to height hazards, however are not required to use fall protection to perform tasks (e.g., are not legislated to be trained to the MOL’s WAH Training Standard).

ETS offers a tailored Sole E-Learning course for workers exposed to potential height hazards, slips, tips, and falls. The tailored course can be customized.
