Target Workplace Parties
SafetyABC Workplace Violence course is targeted for those in the workplace that are developing a Workplace Violence Program (WVP) that complies with the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA). Over the last few years we have seen an increase of violence and harassment in the workplace. The Ministry of Labour expects employers to comply with the requirements of Part 111.0.1 of the OHSA. If your organization has not addressed the requirements of the OHSA, now would be a good time to strike up WVP committee and ensure legislative compliance.
The intent of this course is two-fold:
• Educate the WPV committee on Violence; and • Provide guidance and tools to meet compliance
The legislative requirements as prescribed under the Occupational Health and Safety Act will be covered in detail.
This course is designed to include theory (less than 60%), hands-on practical, and application to both theory and practical. Training can be customized to include policies and procedures for your organization.
